HUNT VIEW RIDING ACADEMY
Trail Riding
Hunt View Riding Academy offers a trial riding experience unlike any other in the area. Hunt View Riding Academy counts with acres of privately owned fields and woods adjacent to Seneca Creek State Park. The academy is located an easy 15 minute drive from Potomac, Germantown, Gaithesburg, Darnestown and Poolesville. The farm counts with miles of wonderful trails. The trail riding staff are professional and experienced with a passion for trail riding and horses.
Trail Rides must be scheduled at least 2 days in advance. Trail Rides are given Mondays-Sundays at 10 am or 1 pm and prices are found below.
The suggested age for riders on the beginners trail is 8 and up. For the experienced trail ride is 15 and up. For younger or inexperienced riders we offer a modified trail experience accommodating the experience and age of the rider. Please come in long pants, comfortable clothing and boots with a small heel. We provide helmets for trail riders.
To book a trail ride:
1. Reserve via pay-pal using the pay-now button below.
2. Send an email to huntviewhorsefarm@gmail.com with the pay-pal transaction number, your chosen day and time, age and weight of riders, and contact phone or e-mail to confirm your trail ride.
3. Submit to e-mail above your completed riding waiver as a PDF file. Riding waiver link is found below.
4. Please note:
-Plan to be 5 minutes early as trail rides begin on time. Riders who cannot keep their scheduled appointment must notify Hunt View Riding Academy staff within 24 hours to re-schedule , otherwise if rider is a no-show or more than 15 minutes late the ride will be charged as having been attended.
*INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: IN CASE OF RAIN, THUNDERSTORMS , ICE, OCCURRING ON THE SCHEDULED TRAIL RIDE DATE, THE RIDE WILL BE RESCHEDULED TO A LATER DATE. THE ACADEMY WILL CONTACT YOU IN CASE OF INCOMING INCLEMENT WEATHER TO RESCHEDULE. PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ONCE THE TRAIL RIDE HAS BEEN BOOKED. A CREDIT CAN BE ISSUED FOR USE FOR A TRAIL RIDE ONLY FOR A LATER AVAILABLE DATE.
BEGINNERS TRAIL RIDE : 60 MINUTE WALKING PACE $150 per rider
INTERMEDIATE TRAIL RIDE: 60 MINUTE WALKING,TROT PACE $190 per rider
ADVANCED TRAIL RIDE: 90 MINUTE WALK, TROT, CANTER PACE $240 per rider
MASTERS TRAIL RIDE: 120 MINUTE WALK, TROT, CANTER, GALLOP, WATER CROSSING, BRIDGES $290
